Kilburn Fire: Eight Engines and 60 Firefighters Tackle Blaze on Christchurch Avenue
Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were called to a serious blaze on Christchurch Avenue in Kilburn overnight. The Kilburn Fire, with eight engines and the efforts of 60 firefighters, was a significant operation.
The fire broke out in a two-storey semi-detached property that had been converted into flats. Part of the first floor and the roof were destroyed by the flames.
Residents taken to hospital
Five people evacuated the building before the London Fire Brigade (LFB) arrived. They were later taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. The swift response of the firefighters was crucial in handling the blaze effectively.
A spokesperson for the LFB confirmed that one of the Brigade’s 32-metre ladders was deployed at the scene to fight the fire from above, showcasing the intensity of the Kilburn blaze tackled by eight engines and 60 dedicated firefighters.
