In a humanitarian effort to support the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, the London Fire Brigade has mobilized a convoy of 30 fire and rescue vehicles, accompanied by two mechanics’ vehicles and a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) carrying over 2,800 items of surplus equipment. Departing for the Polish-Ukrainian border, this convoy aims to deliver vital fire and rescue kits and equipment to assist Ukrainian firefighters in their ongoing struggle.

Led by Fire Aid and the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), this coordinated effort sees the Brigade donating Command Support Units, a fire engine, and hose branches, essential tools used to direct water flow at the end of a fire hose. The convoy comprises 27 Brigade staff, along with firefighters and Fire Aid personnel from across the UK who have volunteered to drive the vehicles and deliver the much-needed equipment.
