The coastbound M20 in Kent reopened this evening following an emergency closure between junctions 8 – 9, which had been in place since Thursday morning.

This followed enhanced security checks taking place at the ports which was starting to lead to queueing traffic and concerns the congestion could impact other routes across the county.
