Ten fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters were dispatched to a fire that broke out at Diba Persian Restaurant with flats above on Paradise Road in Richmond. The incident has caused significant damage to the building.
The fire has primarily affected the mansard roof on the second and third-floor levels, with flames also spreading to a small portion of the first floor. To combat the blaze in the roof area, a 32-meter aerial ladder has been deployed to the scene.
Emergency services received the initial call at 1:32 am and remain present at the location, working diligently to extinguish the fire and ensure the safety of residents and surrounding properties.
Multiple fire stations, including Richmond, Kingston, Twickenham, Chiswick, Heston, Hammersmith, Actron, and Wandsworth, have mobilized their crews to handle the incident effectively.
