Emergency services continue to battle a major fire at a premises on Severn Road, Treforest Industrial Estate, Rhondda Cynon Taff, following reports of an explosion that occurred shortly after 7:00 pm today.

The incident, which took place at Mindset Gym, Rizla House on Severn Road, has prompted a significant response from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS), with Deputy Chief Fire Officer Dewi Rose reporting that 16 pumping appliances, several special appliances, and officers are currently at the scene. The building, described as a large two-storey commercial premises, is fully engulfed in flames and is at risk of collapse.
