A major incident has been called by the Scottish Ambulance Service following an incident that is currently ongoing.

Scottish ambulance service declared at around 6.55 am on Monday 2nd January 2023. A number of trauma centres have been put on standby and are awaiting expected casualties. A number of road closures have been put in place as a result of the ongoing incident affecting Hospital Street, County Place, Leonard Street and New Row within the city centre due to a large fire at the County Hotel with persons reported and unaccounted for.
