Tragedy at Manchester Airport: Man Dies After Falling From Car Park Roof

 

A man has died following a tragic fall from the roof of a car park near Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport.

Emergency services, including Greater Manchester Police and air ambulance teams, rushed to the scene around 3.30pm on Thursday, August 7, after receiving a report of a concern for welfare.

Sadly, the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.


Investigation Ongoing, But No Suspicious Circumstances

Greater Manchester Police confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious. A cordon was established and an investigation is underway to formally establish the circumstances of the man’s death.

A spokesperson for GMP said:

“We are currently responding to a concern for welfare incident at a car park at Manchester Airport. There is no wider risk to the public and officers and colleagues from other emergency services are on the scene.”


No Disruption to Flights

A Manchester Airport spokesperson confirmed that the incident did not affect flight operations.

“We are working closely with police and emergency services. Our thoughts are with everyone affected.”
