Man  In Court  To Answer Charges Following Fatal Stabbing In Bradley Stoke

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man from Bradley Stoke in Bristol on Saturday.

The victim has been identified by police as 32-year-old Martin Hefferman,

The incident took place at a residential address in Honeysuckle Close at approximately 03:20. Emergency services were called to the scene and attempted to save the critically wounded Mr Hefferman, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lee Llewellyn, of Froomshaw Road in Stapleton, was remanded ahead of appearing before Bristol Magistrates Court today, where he was further remanded.

Detective Inspector Mark Newbury, from the Major Crime Investigation Team, expressed condolences to the victim’s family and assured them that specially-trained officers would provide support and keep them informed throughout the investigation.

A police cordon will remain in place as enquiries continue, resulting in an increased police presence in the area. Detective Inspector Mark Newbury acknowledged the understanding of the neighbours and mentioned that the important enquiries may take several days to complete.

Authorities are urging anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact the police at 101, quoting reference number 5223281919. Alternatively, individuals can provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or using their Anonymous Online Form.
