Detectives in Belfast are appealing for information and witnesses following a stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, October 15.
Authorities received a report of a stabbing outside a fast food shop in the Dublin Road area around 02:25 BST. According to reports, a man in his 30s sustained a slash wound to his face during the altercation.
The suspect, a 37-year-old man, was apprehended by members of the public who restrained him until the arrival of the police. The suspect was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in police custody at this time.
Emergency medical services, including the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), also attended the scene and transported the injured man to the hospital for treatment.
Detective Sergeant McCartan, who is leading the investigation, urged anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. He also appealed to individuals who have mobile phone or dash-cam footage that could assist with the investigation to contact the police.
