Overnight Maintenance Work at Dartford Crossing to Continue Through First Weekend of November

 

Drivers using the Dartford Crossing should expect overnight closures and diversions as maintenance work continues throughout the first weekend of November. The scheduled works, which began on Monday, October 28, will run until Monday, November 4, affecting both the anticlockwise and northbound tunnels during late-night hours.

The Dartford Crossing, a crucial connection between Dartford in Kent and Thurrock in Essex along the A282 road, will experience various closures and diversions due to necessary maintenance and grillage work. National Highways has outlined the following schedule:

  • Friday, November 1 – Saturday, November 2
    • A282 Anticlockwise Jct 1A Entry Slip Road Closure: 11 pm – 6 am
    • A282 Anticlockwise Jct 1A to M25 Anticlockwise Jct 31: 10 pm – 5:30 am
    • West Tunnel Closure: Closure for grillage work, with diversions in place via National Highways roads.
  • Saturday, November 2 – Sunday, November 3
    • A282 Northbound West Tunnel Closure: 10 pm – 5 am
    • Maintenance work with diversions via the National Highways network.
  • Sunday, November 3 – Monday, November 4
    • A282 Northbound East Tunnel Closure: 10 pm – 5 am
    • Maintenance work with diversions via the National Highways network.

Motorists are advised to follow diversion signs and plan for potential delays during these hours. National Highways has also noted that schedules may be subject to change, particularly in adverse weather conditions.
