Emergency services have responded to a serious incident at Stockwell Underground Station, where a person has been struck by a train this evening.
The incident is currently being treated as person hit by a train prompting an immediate emergency response. The station was placed on lockdown, with services suspended and commuters evacuated from the area.

Specialist rescue units and fire crews have been deployed to assist with recovery efforts. At this stage, no further details about the individual’s condition have been confirmed.

Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed major disruption on the Northern and Victoria lines, with delays expected throughout the evening.

A spokesperson for London Underground said:

“Emergency services are dealing with an incident at Stockwell station. The station is closed, and services are suspended in both directions. We apologise for the inconvenience and advise passengers to seek alternative routes.”

Commuters are being advised to check TfL updates and travel alerts before starting their journeys.
