Train services have been suspended across the New Forest after a person was struck by a train between Southampton Central and Brockenhurst earlier this afternoon, South Western Railway has confirmed.
The incident occurred shortly before 3:30pm, prompting a major response from emergency services and railway support teams. All lines between Southampton and Brockenhurst have been blocked, and disruption is expected to continue until at least 10pm tonight.
