Police appeal after Road Rage attack in Basingstoke

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward about a road rage incident that took place on the Basingstoke Ring Road. A 64-year-old woman was driving northbound on Ringway North, near the junction with the A33, at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 16, when the incident took place. A small black car, described as being very dirty, joined the carriageway from a slip road and started to flash its headlights at the woman’s red Vauxhall Astra. It drove on the offside of the Vauxhall Astra and an object was either thrown or launched from the black car, shattering a wing mirror of the Vauxhall Astra. No-one was injured in the incident. Police are keen for anyone who saw this incident to contact PC Warren Carne, at Basingstoke police station, on 101, quoting 44160068893. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
