Police appeal after two killed in A33 Road Crash near Kings Worthy

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Kings Worthy in the early hours of this morning (Monday, 26 March). Officers were called at 1.50am to reports of a single vehicle collision involving a BMW 316 on the A33 Basingstoke Road. The driver of the car, a 27-year-old man from Basingstoke, and his front seat passenger, a 27-year-old woman from Basingstoke, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The backseat passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Basingstoke, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
