Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a tragic fatal collision in King’s Lynn that claimed the life of a woman whose identity remains unknown.
The incident occurred on Sunday, 17 November 2024, at around 9:55 PM, when a white Renault Trucks Master van struck a pedestrian on the A47 at the westbound slip road from Saddlebow.
Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Despite ongoing investigations, police have been unable to identify her and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Description of the Victim
The victim is described as white, of slim build, approximately 5ft 5in tall, with shoulder-length auburn hair, some of which was dyed purple.
She was wearing:
- Light blue denim jeans
- A dark blue hooded zip-up top
- A green wax-style coat from Primark, with a fur hood
She also wore black and purple steel toe-capped ‘Maxsteel’ trainers, a silver crucifixion-style necklace, and a plain gold ring. Distinctively, she had a large red chilli pepper tattoo on her right ankle.
Police Appeal
Detective Inspector Dave McCormack said:
“To date, our enquiries have not been able to identify the pedestrian. We need to let this woman’s family know what has happened, and I would urge anyone with any information to contact us.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended the scene, and the road was closed until 2:20 AM while officers conducted their investigation.
