Pimlico Station evacuated: Victoria Line suspended and Vauxhall Bridge shut after incident

Officers from British Transport Police are at Pimlico  underground station following a casualty on the tracks. They are being supported by firefighters from the London Fire Brigade and paramedics from the London Ambulance service . The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious. Police say they are  working with transport for London to resume Tube services as soon as possible. #Vauxhall Bridge has been closed to allow for London’s Air Ambulance to land in connection with the injured passenger on the tracks at Pimlico underground station. Pimlico Station has been  evacuated and the Victoria Line suspended  Vauxhall Bridge has also been shut in both directions. UPDATE: Sadly despite the efforts of emergency services the person has sadly died on the  station platform a Police source has revealed A3213 Bessborough Street  is restricted between #Vauxhall Bridge Approach  and  Lupus Street  following an Emergency Services incident at Pimlico Station.
