A police incident has led to the closure of Stockwell Green in South London this morning (Friday, February 7), causing significant travel disruption in the area.

The road has been shut since around 6:30am between Landor Road and Stockwell Road, with police diverting traffic away from the scene. The cause of the closure has not yet been confirmed, and the Metropolitan Police have been contacted for more details.

The closure has impacted local traffic, particularly along Stockwell Road, where congestion is heavy on the approach to Stockwell Station. The situation has been exacerbated by ongoing roadworks on Clapham High Street.
