Authorities in Glasgow are conducting a thorough investigation into the tragic deaths of two 18-year-olds who had attended the same DJ event in the city. The circumstances surrounding their deaths have raised concerns and prompted police to examine whether drugs were involved and if there’s a possible link between the two incidents.
The sequence of events began when the first individual fell unwell at Croy train station in North Lanarkshire around 11:20 PM on Saturday. Despite prompt medical attention, he was subsequently pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
Shortly thereafter, the second 18-year-old was taken ill at the SWG3 venue on Eastvale Place at approximately 2:20 AM on Sunday. Despite receiving medical care, he too tragically succumbed and passed away in the hospital.
Both of these young men had been attending a DJ performance by Ben Hemsley at the SWG3 venue on the night of the incidents. This connection has led investigators to scrutinize whether there could be any correlation between their deaths.
A spokesperson for the SWG3 venue expressed profound sorrow and extended condolences to the families of the deceased. They pledged full cooperation with the ongoing police investigation, aiming to provide any necessary assistance to uncover the truth behind these tragic events.
Police Scotland has confirmed that they are actively pursuing inquiries into the deaths. Their investigation is likely to focus on understanding the circumstances leading up to the illnesses and subsequent deaths of the two young men. As the inquiry progresses, more details may come to light, shedding light on the tragic incidents and their possible causes.
