A police officer from the Surrey and Sussex Road Policing Unit suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle on the A27 at Falmer.
The eastbound carriageway of the A27 was shut shortly after 8.30pm on Wednesday, 25 September. The officer was struck while assisting at the scene of a broken-down lorry, which had been blocking one lane since 7.35pm.
