Iconic rock and pop star Sir Rod Stewart has commended the work of the volunteer crew at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in Littlehampton following a £6,000 donation from his dedicated fan club. The donation was presented in person by Sir Rod’s sister, Mary Cady, who, along with other fan club members, visited the lifeboat station to hand over the funds and meet with the volunteer crew.

In a statement celebrating the donation, Stewart said, “What a wonderful donation to such a great cause. Keep up the good work down at Littlehampton RNLI station.”

The Rod Stewart Fan Club, known for its annual charitable contributions, chose Littlehampton RNLI this year to help the station’s dedicated volunteers continue their vital work on the Sussex coast.
The RNLI relies heavily on donations and volunteer support, and contributions like this help ensure the lifeboat crews are equipped and ready to save lives along the UK coast.
