Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has been ruled out of England’s upcoming games against Australia and Italy due to injury. Saka missed Arsenal’s 1-0 Premier League win over Manchester City on Sunday with a hamstring injury. The Football Association confirmed that Saka had been assessed by England’s medical team and would not be replaced in the squad. England will face Australia on 13 October and Italy in a European Championship qualifier four days later.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta confirmed that Saka will not be available for selection as he has not trained since sustaining the injury. Arteta did not disclose the expected duration of Saka’s absence, but stated that he is currently not able to play football.
