The A13 Will Be Closed In Both Directions The Works Are Part Of The A13 Road Widening Project Which Involves Adding An Additional Lane

The A13 will be closed in both directions between the A1014 (Stanford-le-Hope) and A128 (Orsett) junctions this weekend, for road surfacing, lining and lane re-alignment works as part of the A13 Road Widening Project. The closures start at 9pm on Friday 4 March and remain until 5am on Monday 7 March with traffic diverted via the A1013 Stanford Road instead. To minimise the impact on residential areas, road users are urged not to divert through nearby towns and villages, with non-local traffic asked to use the A127 to avoid causing congestion. The work is part of the A13 Road Widening Project which involves adding an additional lane in both directions between Stanford-le-Hope and Orsett, replacing 4 bridges and improving the Orsett Roundabout.
