The imprisonment of a man for modern slavery and prostitution-related offences has prompted an appeal from detectives at a Leeds-based team

Anghel Iordache was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison earlier this month at Leeds Crown Court.

Lordache, 49, of Harehills, was sentenced following an investigation that began in March of this year when police responded to a request for a welfare check at an address in the city.
