Three Arrested After High-Speed Burglary Chase on A12

In a swift and coordinated response, Essex Police arrested three suspects early this morning following a burglary in Witham, just 12 minutes after the initial emergency call.

The incident began shortly after 4:00 AM when officers received reports of a break-in at a property on Newman Crescent, Witham. According to authorities, several individuals forced their way into the home, stealing hundreds of pounds in cash before fleeing the scene in a black Audi.
All three suspects remain in police custody for questioning.

Detective Chief Inspector Jennifer Bliss praised the rapid and effective teamwork that led to the arrests. “The speed at which the whole Essex Police team came together to make these three key arrests shouldn’t be underestimated,” she said. “Just 12 minutes from the emergency call being made to us, three people were safely in custody. This is just one example of the work police officers do each and every day, often while the vast majority of us are safely in our beds.”

Local residents in Witham have expressed relief following the arrests, with many commending the police for their swift response.

Essex Police continues to investigate the incident and urges anyone with additional information to come forward.
