Two Lanes closed after M27 Motorway collision in Hampshire

Two Lanes of a major motorway have been closed this evening after a collision involving a number of vehicles. Police have closed two lanes of the M27 eastbound carriage way in Hampshire between Junction 5 Eastleigh airport and Junction 7 Hedge End. One of the Vehicle involved has aquaplanined and left the carriage before hitting the central barrier. Emergency services are at the scene working in foul conditions to treat the injured. A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance service said “We have sent an ambulance and rapid response Paramedic to the scene.” Traffic is at a crawl going past the scene that is likely to remain with two lanes closed for the next hour whilst a recovery operation and clean up takes place.
