Two Men Have Been Charged With Carrying Out A Serious Assault In Canterbury

Kent Police was called shortly after 1.20am on Friday 29 September 2023 following a report a man had been assaulted by two people in Station Road East.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man in his 30s was taken to a London hospital with an injury consistent with a stab wound. The injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

Following an investigation by East Kent CID, Rashaan White and Joseph Agbata, both 21, have both been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Mr White, of Wincheap, and Mr Agbata, of Station Road East, are due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 2 October.

Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident but are appealing for any witnesses yet to speak to detectives to come forward.
