Two men have been jailed for life after being convicted of the brutal murder of Rijkaard Siafa in Croydon, as detectives continue to appeal for help in locating a third suspect still at large.
David Walcott, 35, of Turle Road, uk/news/uk/Norbury" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Norbury" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="191322">Norbury, and Rammon Mali, 33, of Valley Road, Croydon, were both sentenced to 27 years’ imprisonment at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 17 April. They were found guilty of murder by a unanimous jury verdict following a five-week trial that concluded on 26 February.

Stabbed 13 Times in a Targeted Attack
The court heard how Rijkaard Siafa, a young man described as full of ambition and kindness, was stabbed 13 times just minutes after leaving a friend’s flat near Fellmongers Yard on the evening of Friday, 12 April 2024.
Emergency services, including police, paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance, were called to the scene at approximately 8:30pm, but despite their efforts—and those of bystanders who attempted to give first aid—Rijkaard died at the scene within 30 minutes.

Walcott and Mali fled immediately after the attack and were later seen drinking at a pub on Katharine Street.
Convictions Secured Through CCTV and Swift Police Work
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command reviewed more than 100 hours of CCTV footage, which helped to identify the suspects and build a timeline of their movements before and after the murder.
Walcott was arrested at an address in Lewin Road, SW16, on 19 April 2024, just a week after the attack. Mali fled the UK on 16 April, but was arrested upon returning to Gatwick Airport on 5 May 2024.
Victim’s Mother Pays Heartfelt Tribute
In a powerful statement, Rijkaard’s mother, Hassanatu Bah, said:
“Anyone who knew Rijkaard would tell you how truly special he was. He had a soul so gentle and a heart so kind… His dreams were big, his zest for life unmatched.
“But let me assure you, Rijkaard’s story doesn’t end here. I will carry his torch for as long as I live. His name will not be forgotten.”
Third Suspect Still at Large
Despite the convictions, police are still hunting a third man — Jordan Vincent, who remains wanted on suspicion of murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend said:
“Walcott and Mali acted together in a coordinated and deadly attack. They are dangerous individuals and I’m relieved they will spend a significant period behind bars.
“However, Jordan Vincent remains wanted, and we are determined to bring all those responsible to justice. I urge anyone with information to come forward.”
A £10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Vincent’s arrest and conviction.
