Unexploded Device Found at Metheringham Airfield Visitors Centre

Emergency services were dispatched today to the Airfield Visitors Centre in Metheringham after the discovery of an unexploded device.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team has arrived at the scene to assess and manage the situation safely. As a precaution, authorities have set up a 100-metre safety cordon around the visitors’ centre. Local residents and visitors have been advised to stay away from the area until further notice to ensure public safety and allow the EOD experts to work without interference.
Further updates will follow as more information becomes available. Authorities are urging people to respect the cordon and avoid speculation until the EOD team completes its assessment.
