Witnesses sought: Altercation at New Romney bus stop involving man and teenagers

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a confrontation at a bus stop in New Romney. The incident occurred around 5 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the A259 Dymchurch Road bus stop, near Cannon Street.

The altercation involved a man and a group of teenagers. During the incident, at least two teenagers were reportedly assaulted. Fortunately, neither sustained serious injuries. The man involved in the altercation is described as white, over 25 years old, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, and with a dark beard.

Police are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage that captured the event or the man involved. Those with information are encouraged to contact Kent Police at 01843 222289, citing reference number 46/2386/24.
