A man suffered serious facial and head injuries after a car toppled on him in St Peter’s, close to Broadstairs, sparking a dramatic air ambulance rescue.
Emergency Called to Hugin Avenue
At around 4:30pm, emergency services rushed to Hugin Avenue following reports of a severe incident. The scene was so critical that the Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance touched down nearby about half an hour later.
Patient Rushed to London Hospital
An ambulance service spokesperson revealed, “Multiple crews attended the scene and assessed and treated one patient before being joined by The Air Ambulance Charity, Kent Surrey Sussex.”
The injured man was swiftly flown to King’s College Hospital in London for urgent treatment of his head and face injuries.
Police Investigate Incident
Police were contacted for comment, but no further details have been disclosed yet. The circumstances of the car falling on the man remain under investigation.
