A Birmingham man has been slapped with an indefinite hospital order after stalking two famous radio presenters, bombarding them with creepy parcels and even sending an imitation air pistol.
Peter Windsor’s Four-Year Campaign of Terror
Peter Windsor, 61, of Mary Road, was convicted of stalking celebrity presenters Myleene Klass and Katie Breathwick from March 2020 to August 2024. His twisted obsession started with a bizarre note boasting about his pull-up count sent to the women in March 2020.
Royal Mail intercepted a shocking parcel in November 2023 at Myleene’s workplace – it contained an air pistol. The nightmare didn’t stop there. From March to September 2024, the women received numerous handwritten letters filled with sexual and religious comments.
Windsor’s odd gifts included binoculars, a stamp collection, champagne, spiked running shoes, a silver ring claiming to offer “holy protection,” a bank statement revealing multiple cash withdrawals, a necklace, and second-hand shoes.
Arrest and Court Outcome
Windsor was arrested in September 2024. Police also found black gloves, a London travel map, and a journey planner in his possession. Charged with two counts of stalking causing serious alarm and distress, Windsor was found guilty after a trial.
At Warwick Crown Court, he was handed an indefinite hospital order and a restraining order to keep him away from Myleene and Katie.
Police Praise Victims’ Courage
“Peter Windsor made Myleene and Katie fear for their safety over more than four years,” said Detective Sergeant Marius Dinescu from Birmingham Police. “He sent nearly 100 parcels to their workplace – escalating his disturbing behaviour with zero regard for the impact on these innocent women.”
“They had to boost security at their workplace due to his obsessive actions. Myleene and Katie showed incredible bravery reporting these incidents and supporting the investigation. Stalking devastates victims, stripping away their feeling of safety.”
