A person has died after a casualty on track, British Transport Police has confirmed.

The following bus routes are diverted due to the road closure in place near the station:

- 151
- 157
- 410
- 463
- 612
- 627
- 633
- S4
Road partially blocked
Manor Road is partially blocked both ways due to the incident at the station.

Trains now able to begin running
Trains are now able to begin running between Sutton and West Croydon.
But residual delays, alterations, and cancellations will continue affecting services between Central London and Sutton / Epsom Down / Epsom.
Stations will not be served
The following stations will not be served until the incident is resolved:
- Epsom Downs
- Banstead
- Belmont
- Carshalton Beeches
- Wallington
- Waddon
‘Delay travelling’
If you are travelling between Epsom Downs / Sutton and London you are strongly advised to delay travelling until later this morning.
A reduced service is in place through Sutton this morning for Thameslink services due to a signalling issue in the Tulse Hill area also affecting services.

A new update has been shared announcing that disruption is expected to last until 11am instead of 10am.

National rail has said that a person has been hit by a train between Sutton and West Croydon.
All lines between these stations are closed.
Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.
