Chelsea Football Club has officially announced the signing of Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal. The 22-year-old forward has inked an eight-year contract with the Blues following an impressive season in La Liga, where he notched 12 goals in 26 appearances.
The transfer fee for Jackson is reported to be around £32 million ($47 million). The acquisition of the young talent is part of Chelsea’s ongoing efforts to reshape their strikeforce after a disappointing Premier League campaign last season.
