Coastguard called to person trapped in mud

Two coastguard search and rescue teams from Ventnor and Needles have been called to assist a person who is stuck in mud on the River Medina this afternoon. Rescue crews were called just after 1.10pm after concerns that the person was stuck in the mud. Once communication was established with the man it was found that he was sat on the river bank not in any danger. Rescue crews gave the man words of safety advice
