Coastguard called to Vessel ran aground after being caught in Storm Hannah

Bembridge Coastguard search and rescue team were tasked by the UK national maritime operations centre after they received a 999 call from a member of the public regarding a 19m vessel aground just east of Ryde Harbour. When the crew arrived they found an Autonomous Rescue and recovery Craft had ran aground. It is believed the vessel had been aground for 24 hours after being caught up in the calm before the storm of Storm Hannah. The vessel was safely secured and anchored by the owner and the Coastguard took no action. Later this evening on the high tide the owner hopes for the vessel to refloat.
