Motorcyclist Airlifted following Wroxhall Collison

Emergency Service have been called to attend a collision on a road between Ventnor and Wroxall this morning. All three services are at the scene. They were called just after 10am on Wednesday morning to Newport Road in Upper Ventnor. [data-ps-embed-type=slideshow] > iframe {position: absolute;top: 0;left: 0;}

_psEmbed(“https://uknip.photoshelter.com”); Firefighters are making the scene safe. Southern Vectis has tweeted to say its buses will be diverting via Godshill, Whitwell and Ventnor. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance are also at the scene treating a motorcyclist who has been in collision with a blue Hyundai. Officers from the Armed response roads policing have put in a closure and launched an investigation the man in his 40’s has been airlifted from the scene with a suspected broke Pelvis and arm injuries to Southampton General Hospital. His injuries are thought to be serious. Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: “ Officers were called at 9.49am to a collision involving a car and a motorbike on Newport Road. “ Male motorcyclist has been injured”
