A tragic crash in Bedfordshire claimed the life of 13-year-old Noah Campbell. The collision involved a car, a bike, and a scooter on Greenfield Road, Flitwick. Noah died on Friday night. Two other teenage boys suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital, police confirmed.
Driver Charged With Causing Death by Careless Driving
On Monday, 24-year-old Jamie Fountain and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Ellie Ireland, stood before Luton Magistrates’ Court over the fatal smash. Fountain, a groundworker from Fir Tree Close, Flitwick, was driving the BMW when the crash happened. Ireland, an EasyJet cabin crew member from Wingate Drive, Ampthill, was a passenger. Fountain faces a battery of charges, including causing death by careless driving, causing death while over the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving, failing to stop or report the accident, and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Ireland is charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Both were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Luton Crown Court on May 5.

“Noah was a fun, bright, handsome, athletic and incredibly well-liked boy,” the family said in a police statement. “Above all else, he cherished spending time with his friends and family; they were the heart of his world.” “We are utterly devastated; Noah’s death has left a hole in our lives that will remain forever.”
Victims Still in Hospital
Of the other two boys injured, police revealed one remains in serious condition. Loved ones of both the victim and defendants attended the court hearing, where tensions ran high.
