A crash on the M25 near Upminster caused disruption this morning after two lanes were closed on the clockwise carriageway between Junction 29 (Upminster) and Junction 30 (Thurrock).
National Highways attended the scene to manage the incident, which led to traffic being temporarily held. A photo from the scene showed vehicles at a standstill while emergency services dealt with the situation.
Despite the disruption, Essex Police confirmed that officers were not required at the scene and that no injuries were reported.
The incident was cleared by around midday, and traffic conditions returned to normal shortly afterwards.
National Highways has been contacted for further comment on the nature of the crash.
