Police have released images of a man they are interested in speaking to regarding a distressing incident that took place on Friday, August 11, 2023. The incident involved the spiking and sexual assault of a man in his 30s in Manchester. In addition to the assault, the victim’s wallet, clothing items, and electric scooter were stolen.
Upon receiving the report, officers from Greater Manchester Police Salford CID immediately launched an extensive investigation. Detective Constable Nicole Robertson, leading the case, described the attack as “appalling” and commended the victim for his bravery in coming forward to support the investigation.
The police have pursued multiple lines of enquiry but are now turning to the public for assistance. They are urging anyone with information or relevant footage, including CCTV, mobile, or dash-cam recordings, to come forward and help shed light on the incident. The images of the man they wish to speak to have been released in the hope that someone may recognise or have information about him that could aid the investigation.
