Doritos Recalls Tangy Cheese Chips Due to Allergy Risk

Doritos, a popular snack brand, has issued a recall for its Doritos Tangy Cheese variety due to a potential health risk posed to individuals with allergies to soya. The recall comes after it was discovered that soya, an allergen, was not properly declared on the product’s ingredients list.

The affected products include Doritos Tangy Cheese in 180g packs, exclusively sold at Tesco stores, as well as the Doritos Tangy Cheese 5 x 30g multipack, available only from Poundland stores. Consumers are advised to check the packaging for these specific sizes and varieties.

The recall was initiated after it was found that some packs of Doritos Tangy Cheese were mispacked with Doritos Chilli Heatwave, another variant of the product.

Individuals who have purchased the recalled product and have an allergy to soya are strongly urged not to consume it. Instead, they should contact the Doritos Consumer Care Line at 0800 274 777 to arrange for a full refund.

This recall serves as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of consumers, particularly those with allergies or sensitivities to certain ingredients. Doritos is working closely with regulatory authorities to address the issue and prevent any further potential risks to consumers.

Customers who have already purchased the affected product are encouraged to take immediate action in accordance with the recall instructions provided to receive a refund and avoid any potential health complications.
