A no-nonsense crackdown in Andover has landed a drug dealer behind bars. Bruno Carvalho, 24, was caught red-handed with more than 20 bags of cocaine – and he didn’t go quietly.
Targeted Patrols Nab Dealer in the Act
On December 12, 2025, police were on the lookout in King Arthur’s Way after reports of drug deals. Their patience paid off when a grey Kia Optima rolled into Tintagel Close, sparking suspicion.
Carvalho, driving this getaway car, was stopped and searched. Officers found 26 bags of cocaine, £570 in cash, and a mobile phone linked to drug dealing.
Violent Outburst Lands Carvalho in Hot Water
Things turned ugly fast. Carvalho resisted arrest and had to be pinned to the ground. In a stunning move, he ripped an officer’s PAVA spray from their hand and sprayed it at another cop.
He also delivered a kick to a third officer’s shin, leaving bruises.
Charged and Sentenced to Over Three Years
Carvalho was arrested and slapped with multiple charges:
- Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs
- Possession of a weapon to discharge noxious gas
- Assault occasioning actual bodily harm
- Driving without a licence
- Driving without insurance
Yesterday at Winchester Court, Carvalho was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months behind bars. Justice was served for the officers who faced his shocking attack.
