Gruesome Abuse Left Baby Darcy with 47 Broken Ribs

  • Investigation uncovered a catastrophic head injury as the fatal blow.
  • Baby Darcy suffered horrific abuse during her short life.
  • She endured 47 broken ribs and fractured legs from at least three separate assaults.

“This verdict concludes a profoundly distressing case involving the murder of five-week-old Darcy,” said Detective Chief Inspector Ian Fitzgerald.

“Darcy was violently abused and murdered by her father. Her mother allowed her death. These were the people who should have loved and cared for her. It was despicable behaviour against a defenceless child.”
