Fire Crew and Coastguard Called to suspected Boat Fire on the River Hamble

Hillhead Coastguard Search and Rescue Team and Hampshire Fire and Rescue have been called to the River Hamble this afternoon (Wednesday May 30th). The teams where mobilsed after the harbour Master contacted the fire serivice to advised there their was a vessel with suspected engine fire being recovered by RNLI Calshot Lifeboat. The Vessel was checked by a fire crews from Hightown and confirmed all safe. Crews have now returned home station and left the owner to boat to resolve the engine fault.
