Fire crews called to fire in Portsmouth Pub

Hampshire Fire crews from Southsea and Portchester have successfully put out a fire at a busy public house in the central of Portsmouth this evening. Crews from the two stations in four appliances were mobilised to a fire in the commercial kitchen at Weatherspoons just after 7.30pm on Friday evening. Crews committed in breathing apparatus tackled a chiller that had caught light. The fire was put out using two hose reels and a jet. Fire fighters than used a fan to clear the smoke from commercial kitchen No one has been injured Bosses at the pub have said that the site will remain closed whilst an assessments is carried out.
