Blaze Hits Busy Portsmouth Pub – Firefighters Rush to Scene
Firefighters from Southsea and Portchester raced to a blaze at a bustling Portsmouth pub tonight. Four fire engines were scrambled just after 7.30pm to tackle a fire in the commercial kitchen of a Weatherspoons.
Firefighters Battle Flames in Smoke-Filled Kitchen
Wearing breathing apparatus, crews heroically tackled a chiller unit that had caught fire. They doused the flames using two hose reels and a powerful water jet. After extinguishing the fire, teams deployed a fan to clear thick smoke from the kitchen.
Pub Closed as Bosses Assess Damage
Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident. However, Weatherspoons management confirmed the pub will remain shut while damage assessments are carried out.
