Fire Crews Called to Smoking Fuse Board at Property in Ventnor

Two Fire crews from Newport and Ventnor  have been called to  a property  in the Ventnor  this afternoon. The owner  of the property in Pier Street  called the fire service just after 5pm  when smoke starting pouring from the fuse board in the three storey property A retained fire crew  from Ventnor attended and a second  crew from  Newport was also called. The owner of the property  managed to isolate the fuse board before the arrival of the fire service. The second  fire crew  from Newport were turned back to their station as they  where not require said an Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue spokeswoman. The damage to property is not thought to serious.
