A heartbreaking smash near Louth has claimed the lives of a toddler and an elderly woman.

Multi-Car Collision on A157

Emergency crews rushed to the A157 just beyond Gayton le Wold near Grimblethorpe after reports of a four-vehicle crash on Sunday, 15 March.

The vehicles involved were a blue Peugeot 108, grey MG 1300, white BMW X3, and black Volvo XC60. A fifth car also suffered damage in the incident.

Victims Identified

  • A 4-year-old boy from Birmingham
  • A 79-year-old woman from Mablethorpe

Both tragically died following the collision.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Sergeant Melissa Ablitt, leading the investigation, said officers are still piecing together what happened before the crash.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage of the vehicles involved,” she said.
