Daniel Lynch refused freedom after a savage attack that scarred Katie for life
The vile ex-boyfriend of TV star Katie Piper, Daniel Lynch, who arranged for her to be doused in acid, has been denied parole. Lynch was behind the horrific sulphuric acid attack that left Katie with permanent scars and life-changing injuries.
Monster with Violent Past Gets No Second Chance
Lynch, already a convicted criminal for pouring boiling water over a man, was jailed for life in 2009 with a minimum of 16 years. He was sentenced for the acid attack and the rape of Katie Piper, which he arranged through the attacker Stefan Sylvestre.
The thought of Lynch’s release terrified Katie, but the Parole Board has made it clear he is not ready to walk free.
Parole Board: Lynch Still a Threat
“The panel considered extensive evidence and concluded Mr Lynch’s actions were a brutal act of revenge. Despite over 18 years behind bars and some progress in addressing his behaviour, he remains unable to control his emotions or safely manage relationships,” the Board said.
Lynch even admitted to the parole panel that he was not ready to rejoin society. The decision stated: “Release at this point would not be safe for the public.”
Katie Piper’s Rise After Tragedy
Since the attack, Katie has become a well-known campaigner and celebrity, inspiring millions with her strength and courage. Lynch’s denial of parole means that justice continues, protecting her and the public from further harm.
