Man Holding Knife demands Cash from Tesco staff in Portsmouth
Police have released CCTV released following robbery attempt at Tesco in Portsmouth Officers have released a CCTV image following a robbery attempt at a Tesco store in Portsmouth. At around 2.15pm on Saturday 19 August, a man entered the store on Crasswell Street and made threats to a member of staff whilst holding a knife, before demanding cash from the till. The man then made an unsuccessful attempt to open the till himself before leaving the shop empty handed. He has been described as: • White • 5ft 8ins tall • Average build • Wearing pale tights over his head and face • Dark coloured jacked and trousers • Gloves We have released a CCTV image of a man we would like to identify and speak to in connection with this incident.
