Nicholas Peel, a former Thames Valley Police constable, has been found guilty of repeatedly raping a woman in Wiltshire while on duty. The 55-year-old carried out multiple sex attacks between 2015 and 2020.

Guilty Verdict Delivered at Salisbury Crown Court
Peel was convicted on four counts of rape and one count of attempted rape at Salisbury Crown Court on 2 March. He faces sentencing on 13 April. The ex-officer once lived near Marlborough but now resides in Kent.
Under Investigation for Gross Misconduct Before Retirement
Peel retired from Thames Valley Police in December 2024 amid an investigation into gross misconduct. A disciplinary hearing in March 2025 confirmed he misused police communications and IT systems.

- He accessed and altered police system records improperly.
- While on sick leave, he used hundreds of gigabytes of data on his work phone, far exceeding limits.
The panel ruled that Peel would have been sacked had he not retired.
